CM Project To Train Punjabi Women To Become Self-Employed
During a ceremony held in Garments City, Sheikhupura, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab, served as the honored guest to mark the completion of the first training session for women in her project aimed at empowering them economically and skillfully. She presented certificates to those who had received training in sewing and clothing-making. This event marked a significant moment in Punjabi history as it provided financial assistance to underprivileged women in Wagah through job offers, scholarships, and certificates upon completing their training.
“The purpose of making you skilled is not for you to be a receiver, but to become a giver,” the Madam Chief Minister said during the ceremony.

Each Tehsil will have a garment training center
So that girls would not have to travel far from their homes, she assured them that every tehsil would eventually have clothing training facilities. In addition, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the group is the first in Punjab to complete training under the Skilling Women program.
Women Received Certificates Upon Completing Training
When she met with the women who had completed their training in clothing manufacturing, she complimented them. “Inshallah, congratulations on your growth journey.
“Every daughter is proud, you’re the pride and glory of your house, I’m so glad you learned this skill; you’ll be able to live with confidence,” she said. The primary objective of the project was to ensure that women could earn with dignity, rather than strain their hands. In her speech, she stressed the importance of Punjabi women serving as role models in all aspects of their lives, including education, health, work, and athletics.
In conclusion
Women across Punjab are becoming more self-reliant and confident thanks to the CM’s initiative to empower them through skill training. With the help of this program, women can contribute confidently to their families and communities by providing job opportunities, training centers, and financial support. With future centers planned for every tehsil, women will have easier access to these vital skills after the distribution of certificates.
