This is the latest update for all the residents of Punjab. Maryam Nawaz has launched a new scheme for those who live in the enlisted cities. There are many areas of Punjab where people can get free and full Internet access through this new scheme of Free Wifi. Initially, this project was launched in Lahore and Qasur but now, on the instruction of Punjab’s Chief Minister, it is being launched in Nankana Sahib with some other areas as well.

CM Punjab Starts free wifi initiative in Nankana Sahib

Maryam Nawaz has launched the Free Wifi Scheme successfully, and she is now determined to expand it so that more internet users can gain access to the network services anywhere in the province as a result. The Punjabi government has now extended the “Free WiFi” plan to Nankana Sahib after successfully implementing it in Lahore and Kasur.

According to a statement released today by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, more than five million people in Lahore now have free internet access.

According to the chief minister, more than 25,000 people will benefit from the service in Nankana Sahib, where residents have consumed 250 GB of data in just four weeks.

Free Wifi to be extended to 200 points

As part of her speech, she announced that Safe Cities initiatives will soon be operating in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala, and that they will eventually cover 18 cities in Punjab.

Free Wi-Fi in Kasur: Available at 10 Key Locations

At ten different locations in Kasur, including the National Bank Chowk, Women’s College, DHQ Hospital, New Bus Terminal, Railway Station, Model Bazar, and DC Office, the public can access Safe City Free Wi-Fi. The relevant authorities were also given the go-ahead to expand the service to twenty more locations in Kasur.

How Can The Free Wifi Service Used In Punjab?

Citizens can utilize the service to use WhatsApp, the Punjab Police App, the Women Safety App, and to contact family members and the police in an emergency because of the “digital Punjab” concept.

Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other entertainment apps aren’t supported by the service. The free Wi-Fi hotspots in Lahore have a range of 300 feet.
