BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid announced on Wednesday the resume of the program focusing on human resource development. In addition to boosting the economy, she said this program would assist people in becoming financially independent. In an interview with the media following a meeting at the Benazir Income Support Program’s (BISP) provincial headquarters, she said these things.

The BISP does not provide aid to the beneficiaries as “khairaat”; instead, it provides money so that their incomes can be supported. It is not so high that a person is unable to work other jobs, but it is simply an additional amount needed by the family to support their health issues or educate their children.

BISP is urged to collaborate with a renowned institution for training
It is Rubina Khalid’s recommendation that officials work with reputable organizations that offer training in handicraft design in order to ensure participants obtain certifications that meet contemporary international standards. In addition to increasing foreign exchange revenues, she said it would make it easier to find work abroad.
Despite limited resources, the Chairperson appreciated the hard work and commitment of the BISP team.
Khalid criticizes KP Govt for not focusing on government institutions
As a response to a query, Khalid alleged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government ignored the health system of the province. She also pointed out that private hospitals benefited from the Sehat Card program, while government hospitals were ignored. By failing to maintain peace in the area, the provincial government reversed gains made possible by major sacrifices.
