Therefore, CM Maryam Nawaz has recently launched an Online E-Portal for Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Programme for the eligible families to Apply from the comfort of their home via the government official web portal at, azag.punjab.gov.pk.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, opened the e-portal for the “Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar” program, which aims to give the province’s homeless people free plots. A single click activated the scheme, enabling users to apply for free plots via the e-portal at azag.punjab.gov.pk.

The Punjab government will give away free 3-marla residential plots to low-income and homeless people throughout the state as part of the “Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar” program. 

According to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the program’s goal is to empower the poor by guaranteeing land ownership and assisting in the development of respectable homes. 300 More Houses Formation Everyday In Punjab

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated at the event that up to 300 more homes are being constructed daily in Punjab for the homeless. The e-portal, azag.punjab.gov.pk, is where people may apply for free plots, she stated, adding that “2000 plots will be given in 23 housing schemes in 19 districts across Punjab.”

Significance Of AZAG Programme 

“The ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program is very close to my heart,” said CM Sharif, underscoring the program’s personal relevance. Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has a vision of providing shelter to the needy, and he is quite happy when he hears about the completion of these homes.

Additionally, she stated, “Roughly 34,000 homes are being constructed in only six months, with 2,000 already finished. They applauded individuals who had previously constructed homes under the scheme, saying, “These are not 34,000 houses, but prayers.”

Loans Repayment In Installments – 3 Month’s Construction Time

This approach is the simplest, and there is a three-month grace period for home construction. Additionally, loan repayment has begun in installments, she said.

“There are people across Punjab who do not have land to build houses,” the chief minister said, acknowledging the housing issue. 2,000 people will initially receive free plots; they can apply for these via azag.punjab.gov.pk.

Eligibility Criteria For Application

She went on, “Having a home gives you a sense of security, but a regular person finds it quite challenging to manage a home. Plot owners between 1 and 10 marla are eligible to apply for a loan under the scheme in order to construct their own homes.

Bilal Yasin, the provincial minister of housing, gave additional program specifics, stating that the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” initiative is providing a loan of Rs. 36 billion to build homes for 33,500 individuals. The Punjabi people are appreciative of the Chief Minister for starting this project.
