“Punjab Insulin Program” Launched: Free Insulin Cards for Diabetic Patients
CM of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has launched a new and more beneficial initiative for people with diabetes with the name Punjab Insuline Program through this Scheme, children with diabetes will receive an insulin card, and she also orders that the BHU be upgraded to more advanced “Maryam Nawaz health clinics” situated in remote areas.

In anticipation of the launch of the Pilot Phase of the Insulin Project in many districts of Punjab, the following information provides important information about the scheme.

Punjab Government Launches CM Insuline Program
It is planned to launch the “Chief Minister Insulin” initiative, according to Punjab administration officials. This initiative will enable children with Type 1 diabetes to receive insulin at home. Special cards will be issued to ensure that these children have access to insulin. A business with government approval will supply the insulin, adhering to cold chain standards and other procedures.

BHU’s Transformation Into Maryam’s Health Clinic
In a meeting chaired by Maryam Nawaz, in which she made some important decisions related to the availability of medical resources in remote areas of Punjab, the CM Insuline Program was announced.
As part of a special meeting presided over by Maryam Nawaz Sharif, it was decided to upgrade Basic Health Units (BHUs) in rural areas to “Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.”

Health labs were created in hospitals in Mianwali, Jhang, Layyah, Attock, and Jhelum, and key performance indicators (KPIs) were developed to assess medical staff performance.

Individuals with Type 1 diabetes may apply via a special helpline or app for the Chief Minister Insulin for All trial program in Lahore and three other districts.
Several officials attended the meeting, including the Principal Secretary, MPA Sania Ashiq, the Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir, the Information and Culture Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari, and Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb.
