At Government College Women’s University (GCWU) Sialkot on Wednesday, during the Honhaar scholarship distribution, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif had an exciting announcement for students. She declared that those who achieve 65% or higher will receive complimentary laptops. Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz promised to personally distribute top-of-the-line laptops to deserving students.

بدھ کے روز گورنمنٹ کالج ویمن یونیورسٹی (جی سی ڈبلیو یو) سیالکوٹ میں، ہنر سکالرشپ کی تقسیم کے دوران، وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف نے طلباء کے لیے ایک دلچسپ اعلان کیا۔ اس نے اعلان کیا کہ 65 فیصد یا اس سے زیادہ حاصل کرنے والوں کو اعزازی لیپ ٹاپ ملے گا۔ مزید برآں، مریم نواز نے مستحق طلباء میں ذاتی طور پر ٹاپ آف دی لائن لیپ ٹاپ تقسیم کرنے کا وعدہ کیا۔ اس اعلان کے بعد طلبہ کا جوش و خروش عروج پر پہنچ گیا۔ مریم نواز نے تقریب کے دوران قومی ترانہ، تلاوت قرآن، نعت رسول مقبول (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) اور کلام اقبال پیش کرنے والوں کو بھی شاباش دی۔ یہاں تک کہ اس نے ان کے ساتھ سیلفیاں بھی لیں اور ایک ساتھ اس لمحے کو شیئر کیا۔

During the briefing, she announced that the initial delivery of laptops had been received and emphasized that only top-quality models in the market were chosen. She assured that the distribution of these laptops to students will take place promptly.

CM Announces Increase in Honhaar Scholarships for 50,000 Students

Additionally, she shared that currently over 30,000 scholarships are awarded to students annually. However, moving forward, these numbers will see an increase.

As a result, an additional 20,000 scholarships will be added. She instructed the authorities to grant scholarships to a total of 50,000 students by next year, providing them with greater opportunities. The CM aims to boost the number of scholarships available to assist more students.

Punjab Government to Include 2nd & 3rd-Year Students in Next Year

Last month, Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that the Honhaar Scholarship program will now include 2nd and 3rd-year students. Additionally, starting next year, the scholarship will also be available to students in their second and third years of study.

By the next academic year, both first-year and second-and third-year students will have the opportunity to receive these scholarships.
